Prairie Mining Limited ("Prairie")is a multi-project coal developer focused on the development and operation of the Jan Karski Mine ("JKM" ) and the Debiensko Hard Coking Coal Project (“Debiensko” ) in Poland. The Company is listed on stock exchanges in Australia (ASX), London (LSE) and Warsaw (WSE).
The Jan Karski Mine
The Jan Karski Mine (formerly Lublin Coal Project) is a large scale premium quality coal project with a current Coal Resource Estimate (”CRE”) of 728 million tonnes across four coal exploration concessions in south eastern Poland.
On 8 March 2016, Prairie announced the results of a Pre-Feasibility Study for the Jan Karski Mine which confirmed robust project fundamentals including the potential to supply 6.34 million tonnes of premium coal into the heartland of industrial Europe and to do so at an average cash operating cost of US$24.96 per tonne - the lowest cash cost for coal delivered into Europe.
Debiensko
Debiensko is a world class hard coking coal (“HCC”) project situated in the Upper Silesian Coal Basin in the south west of Poland, a strategic location in the steelmaking heartland of Europe. This high quality 100% HCC project is fully permitted with a 50-year mining concession, established on-site facilities including rail, road and power infrastructure, comprehensive historical drilling data and all environmental consents. On 16 March 2017 Prairie announced the Scoping Study for the fully permitted Debiensko mine which highlights Debiensko’s technical viability and robust economics to potentially be a large scale, low cost and long life premium hard coking coal supplier with 2.6 Mtpa saleable hard coking coal production from a maiden JORC Resource estimate of 301 Mt.
